Osman El Mahdy

Osman El Mahdi (Violin) - Born in Alexandria, 1958
- Studied violin in Alexandria, then Cairo Conservatoires, under Professors L.Yashvilli, I. Beridze, and S.Ganiev.
- Studied chamber music at Geneva Conservatoire under Prof. G.-M. Caillat.
- Member of the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève and the Orchestre de Chambre du Jura from 1985 to 1989, then Cairo Symphony orchestra from 1989 to 1993, and finally Concertmaster of Cairo Opera Orchestra from 1994 to 2005.
- Founding member and first violin of Cairo Opera House Quartet from 1990 till now.
- Professor of violin and chamber music at Cairo Conservatoire from 1989 to 2005, and professor of violin at the Talent Development Center of Cairo Opera House from 1993 till now.
- Appeared as a soloist and member of various chamber ensenmbles in Russia, Syria, the Emirates, Japan, France, and Switzerland.
